Iowa Testing Contact Us if you're interested in participating.

We are tentatively planning to administer the Iowa test on May 24,25,26th from 9am to 12 at the Plymouth Public Library for the 3rd thru 8th grades. The cost is about $45 each or less depending on participation.

We need to know several things:
1) names and grades of those interested;
2) if there is any interest in testing any other grades (because of testing requirements, the other grades would have to be on another day/time.)

The goal is to compile a list by mom's night out on March 10th, 2005.

Mixsawbah Fish Hatchery Field Trip - northeast of Walkerton

The fish hatchery grows trout and salmon to later stock our lakes and rivers. March is the best time to go, since they have not yet released the fish into their natural habitats. The program consists of a half-hour slide show (with time allowed for questions), hatchery tour, and the opportunity to help feed the fish. Part of the tour is OUTSIDE, so dress warmly. All ages are welcome, but be mindful that we will be outside, near water. I am told that the pools have about an 18" lip, so if your toddler is "busy", make sure you have enough hands to guide him or her. There is no cost for this trip.

Please RSVP by 3/8/05, so that they can properly prepare for our group. More detailed information will be sent later to those who register. If you do not register, you will not receive updates, map, etc. If thunderstorms are predicted for that day, we will reschedule.

Biblical Ideas in Academic Subjects - Vineyard Community Church, 1006 S. Merrifield, Mishawaka
Homeschool parents are invited to a Parent Workshop, Biblical Ideas in Academic Subjects, presented by Mrs. Ruth Smith, Pilgrim Institute. The workshop will focus on assisting students of all ages to recognize principles of the Word of God in any academic subject. Through reasoning concerning Scriptural ideas, and cultivating the ability to draw proper conclusions, parents may direct their teaching to reach the heart of the student. These seeds of teaching can produce a lifelong love of learning and dedication to apply the Word of God to every aspect of life.
